NYFW Jewelry Inspiration

As all fashionistas know, New York Fashion Week took place in early September. The week was full of runway shows, engaging discussion panels, and fashion related events. It is during this time that we are exposed to the newest emerging trends in the world of clothing and accessories. For those of us who could not attend, I’ve put together a summary of the latest trends we are FALLing for this season. Luckily, you can find them all at Jae’s Jewelers.

Every woman knows that pearls are timeless. For over 150 years though, large cultured pearls were mostly owned by royalty, due to their high value. Newer pearl harvesting techniques over the past 10 years have resulted in large, high-quality Ming pearls, at more affordable prices than similarly looking South Sea pearls.

Is it your initial, or that of your child, husband, or pet? Large or small, initial necklaces are here to stay. Jae’s Jewelers has them available from Rebecca in sterling silver and Swarovski crystals, or Roberto Coin in 18 karat white gold and diamonds.
Every piece of jewelry should be a conversation starter or make you feel good. That’s why statement rings like “cocktail” and “domed” styles made this list. Add a pop of color to your wardrobe with semi-precious gemstones like amethyst, citrine, or blue topaz.
The first thing people notice when they look at you is your face. Due to the close proximity of your ears to your face, earrings are highly visible as well. On the runway this year, we saw hoop earrings large and small, all with small variations on the classic concepts. Take a peek at this collection of huggie earrings: narrow/wide, with dangles, with diamonds… there are so many options.
